Team Afghanistan's performances in Cricket World Cups:

Cricket World Cup 2015 would be Afghanistan's first ever world cup. This team has already left a good impression in last few years. The Afghanistan national cricket team was formed in 2001. The team ultimately failed to qualify for the 2011 cricket world cup.

The Afghan cricket team played their first ever major tournament in the form of 2010 ICC T20 cricket world cup. They took a step further towards glory when they qualified for their first ever 50 over world cup. The qualification came in a World Cricket League match against Kenya where they registered a comprehensive win. They bowled out Kenya for 93 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Ground and scored the required runs in less than 21 overs.

Afghanistan are placed in Group A with hosts Australia and New Zealand along with teams like England, Bangladesh, Scotland  and Sri Lanka.
Get ready to witness some brave efforts from this team that has absolutely nothing to lose. No wonders if this team can come up with few upsets in 2015 cricket world cup.
