Something to cheer about for the Indian cricket team and the fans. India have won their first ever bilateral series in Australia beating the home team 2-0 in the on-going T20 International cricket series. After losing the ODI series 4-1, India bounced back hard with two straight wins in the three match T20 series. Watch the third T20 match India vs Australia live streaming online and telecast on Star Sports HD network and HotStar live match mobile app.
Another opportunity to bat first and how well did India capitalise? It was a pretty similar story. India scored 180 plus with some good knocks and Australia fell short of 20 odd runs while chasing. The middle overs of the Australian innings were again decisive when the Indian slow bowlers turned tables on the home team.
Rohit Sharma is consistently scoring runs and that is a good sign for India ahead of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2016. Virat yet again feasted on the Australian bowlers and scored an unbeaten 59 runs! In reply it was Australian captain Aaron Finch who played to his best. He gave a flying start to the Australian chase. He scored 74 runs from just 48 balls. No other batsman played that well to take Australia home. A lot credit goes to the Indian bowlers who were upto the mark inspite of some average fielding effort at the start.
Virat Kohli was declared man of the match. He is relishing the true bounce of Australian pitches. He feels at home when he sees so many Indians supporting the team in the stands. He is glad he is contributing to the team at the right time. He is glad to see consistent runs from Rohit Sharma.
MS Dhoni praised the young bowlers Bumrah and Pandya. He was amused to see some good yorkers from Bumrah in the death overs.
Aaron Finch has suffered a hamstring injury and he won't play in the last T20 match. Shane Watson has been awarded the captaincy for the Australian T20 side. He took it as an honour to lead the national team. He has captained Australia in a test match and nine ODI matches. He would become the ninth Australian player to lead the T20I side. He has played 51 T20 International matches for Australia and has scored 1191 runs. Being a good allrounder he also has 41 wickets which is highest T20I wickets by any Australian.
Usman Khwaja will replace Aaron Finch as an opening batsman.
We are left to see who wins the last T20 match. If India nails another win here, they would be ranked number 1 in the ICC T20 rankings. Australian would play for pride and strive hard for a win here at Sydney.
