New Zealand haven't made too many trips to India for a test series. Infact they haven't had a very good time touring here for test matches. They have managed to win just two matches in India and the last one came absolute ages ago!

Indian team, especially under the test captaincy of Virat Kohli looks unbeatable. Not to forget this team defeated South Africa 3-0 in the last test series at home. They also defeated West Indies in West Indies last month. The confidence of this team is soaring high and they would strive hard to retain the top spot of ICC Test Rankigns which they missed narrowly in the last series against West Indies. Currently, Pakistan is placed at the first position.

New Zealand is lead by the brillaint Kane Williamson who is an aggressive players and a good batsman against spin. His leadership has received a lot of appreciation and New Zealand as a team has done wonders in last two years.

Virat Kohli would have a lot of options to pick from. Cheteshwar Pujara seems to be slightly out of form but he has then he has in form KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma. Even R Ashwin and Wriddhiman Saha have done wonders with the bat.

From the bowling perspective, India's strength would lie in the spin department. Amit Mishra and R Ashwin can create good amount of trouble for the Kiwi batsmen. A lot also depends on the nature of Kanpur's pitch.
